Getting Georgia State Auto Insurance
Hey there! I am a 24 year old applying to get my driver’s license for the first time. With the job market the way it is, I’m going to need a reliable way to commute longer distances. I was lucky enough to get an older vehicle from a family member, but she warned me to make sure I had my auto insurance here in Georgia before I drove it. Where can I get cheap auto insurance in Georgia? Do you have any tips for getting a good deal?

Scott,
Getting your license and insuring your vehicle for the first time can be a bit stressful, but I can point you in the right direction. You need to know that Georgia law requires everyone on the road to be insured. Unlike many states, they require you to have minimum liability limits; $50,000 per occurrence, $25,000 per person, and $25,000 to cover property damage per occurrence. Georgia has a Tort system in place, meaning that in any case of accident, one person or party is found to be at fault. This party will be required to pay for all damages, hence the required insurance. On top of all of this, you might be interested in collision insurance as well, which covers you in case of theft, fire, flood damages and so on.
I know this seems like a lot to sort out, but I do have some tips. The internet has made getting a good georgia auto insurance quote very easy. Simply go to a website that lets you compare auto insurance rates. Clicking on the banner at the top of this site will take you to one of these sites to get an auto insurance quote in your area!
